Presenting at AAAL 2024!

Hi all!

I’m pleased to announce that my talk has been accepted for a paper presentation at the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL) 2024 Conference in Houston, Texas!

I look forward to sharing my updated findings with my comprehensive cluster analysis of the relationships among many interrelated variables concerning language proficiency, social identity, investment in language learning, code-switching between languages, and usage of digital features such as emoji, memes, and gifs.

My findings provide a holistic understanding of intercultural communication in a digital era, emphasizing the pivotal roles of identity co-construction and investment in second language (L2) learning.

Thanks for following along, and stay tuned!

UPDATE: After receiving my AAAL 2024 Schedule Notification, my presentation is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, March 17, 2024, @ 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM. I’m looking forward to sharing my findings and engaging in great conversations about multilingualism and language learning among romantic couples!

Thank you again for your support!

Best,
Kris Cook
