“Love Languages” featured on @gulingmasters

I hope you had a great February 14th! 💝

I’m sharing some fun news—@gulingmasters, the official Instagram account of the Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University, featured my “Love Languages” research yesterday in honor of Valentine’s Day! 💕📲 I really appreciate their offer to help spread the word about the work I am doing, and I agree that posting on February 14th was apt timing. 😉📆💕

I also want to share a huge thank you to one of my Spring 2024 Research Assistants (through the LING 3930: Research-based Undergraduate Linguistics Experience course), Devin Davidson, for his hard work and creativity in preparing this graphic! 👏

Beyond the charm of Valentine's Day, let's continue to investigate, explore, and celebrate the diverse ways we express and experience communication with our loved ones daily. Each unique method of showing and receiving affection—in whichever language(s)!—merits acknowledgment every day, not just on special occasions. Here’s to advancing our knowledge and appreciation of multilingual and intercultural dynamics in love and relationships. 💝

Wishing you a Happy (Belated) “Love Languages” Day! 💕
